Re: Creditors that let you re-allocate limits

Since BoA was listed as one of the creditors who could do balance reallocation in this thread, I gave them a shot.  I already have two BoA cards to use as donor cards.  I called the number on their website, and I was on hold for almost a half hour waiting for a rep to answer.  When they did, they immediately transferred me to an analyst to do the balance reallocation.  The analyst answered the call right away and took care of it.  They just asked me to verify income.  Very easy process once the hold time was done!  Now my utilization on the new card will be much lower and I wasn't using the other card anyway, so no real loss on taking some of the credit limit for another card.

I asked the analyst for their direct number in case I ever wanted to do another reallocation in the future, and they gave me this:

866-866-2059 for a Bank of America analyst

I figured that I'd pass it along so someone else doesn't have to wait in a long phone queue.  Smiley Happy

I see mention of CitiBank Major Bank Cards but no mention of Citi Retail Services cards which as far as I am aware are totally seperate entities from each other correct?

I bring this up because I sure would love to move my Macys credit line over to my Tractor Supply card and my Dillards credit line over to my Home Depot card then close the Macys and Dillards cards.
