Current Credit Profile as of October 2023

Wanted to share my credit profile, along with the current limits, and what my future plans are to diversify my accounts.

1. Regions Prestige Visa - $11k limit

This card i am an authorized user on. I would like to have my own and not share the account.

2. Discover It Balance Transfer- $6k limit

Newest card I just got approved for. My 2nd card with Discover.

3. FNBO BP/Amoco Visa- $5k limit

First card with a SL of $5k for me, however I'm not happy with it. Debating on closing it out.

4. Capital One Savor One- $3750 limit

My go-to card at the moment for all dining, grocery, and fuel purchases at the moment.

5. Capital One QuickSilver One- $3050 limit

This is the 2nd oldest card in my profile.

6. Discover It- $1500 limit

This is the oldest account I have, being active since 2018. I've been stuck at this $1500 limit for almost 4 years. I would like to see this limit be combined with my new It Balance Transfer card to have a usable $7500 limit.

7. Capital One QuickSilver- $1000 limit

This is the newest card I just got approved for through C1. I am concerned that the SL is low, and I hope that over time I will be eligible for higher CLIs compared to what I got on my QuickSilver One. If I could get the QS1 limit rolled into this card and have $4050 to use, that would be preferable.

8. AmEx Blue Cash Everyday- $1000 limit

First card with AmEx. Was recently declined for a CLI despite having no late payments and Balance paid off in full. Will try again in another 6 months.

Looks like you have about $21,000 CL without factoring in the Authorized user account.  To help more on your strategy, do you have any additional data points you could share, like credit card utilization, average age of account, recent inquiries, any negatives, and Fico scores. I'm thinking the lower limit on your last couple of cards, and the decline on the Amex BCE CLI, may be due to issues with your profile.

For the Discover It BT card, do you have any plans to do a BT?

There is a thread on Capital One CL reallocation.

YMMV,   Capital One Allowing CL Reallocations Again? - myFICO® Forums - 6696553.

Also, you can request Discover to combine your cards.   It can be a very long phone call as they don't get a lot of these requests.  The eligiblity rules have changed quite a bit from the past three or four years but I think at least one card has to have a CLI offer to be considered for the combination.   My experience:  Was able to combine my Discover credit lines - myFICO® Forums - 6404344
