Well, you could, but there's not much point because WB has no say in the underwriting. I imagine they chose a conservative lender on purpose, but they can't do anything about a denial.
Outside of the MyFICO type of crowd (i.e. we have a lot of new accounts and inquiries most of the time compared to the general population!), I don't think the average person who wants this card will have a major issue.
I copy+pasted a complaint letter which I "Attentioned to : Head of Marketing and Promotions (Please Forward to the concerned Department Head" to all the addresses listed in this link;
I pretty much explained to them that the Credit criteria UMB seems to be looking/approving for doesn't seem to coincide with DC's target demographics but more of Medicare's core recipients with no more use and need for a credit card! 🤪

Lol😄
While true. I also have never seen a comercial for this card, like I do for every other one. And I know even the Marvel card isn't promoted that much either, at least I've seen/heard about it duw to Disney's connection to almost every other media source I utilize. So I'm on their mailing list.
I only learned about the DC card from a post here, which led me to do a search online for it. Discovering that not many were aware of it even on DC's own website, where it's not advertised much their either.
So I'm very curious to know how anyone is supposed to be aware of this card, inside Comics and related media? I guess it could be promoted at Cons, and people would come across it by accident.

This exactly. Even if everyday joes, not credit card aficionados, dont collect inquiries and cards like us, something tells me there should still be talk about these cards on the internet. We are talking DC Comics and some of the biggest names that fans/ non fans have heard of. Yet google it and see how much talk there is of these. Then google Marvel. Im past the want of this card but it truely is a shame that such a large brand would limit their brand to a small enterprise ( i know the bank itself may be big, lol, but Missouri??).

To be fair, though, there are a TON of credit cards out there that I've never seen advertised in TV, radio, electronic or print ads. A lot of banks just offer cards to their existing account clients. The ones you see more advertising for are with the major banks or lenders or affiliated with hotels or airlines. It wasn't until I got on My Fico that I had even heard of many of these lenders, much less these cards.
I would imagine comic cons are a major ad venue as you suggested and maybe they are hoping for word-of-mouth advertising since the "cool factor" is high. I did check DC comics website and they have a button linking to the card and an advertisement, although it's towards the bottom of the page. But the credit card is just a side venture for them and they are probably expecting a lot less revenue from it than banks, airlines or hotels would get from a similar card.

Perhaps, but I have a feeling that if say Cap1 got the account, that we'd see a lot more talk about it. Possibly in commercial durring the CW shows. Or even being used by the respective character in the show. Seems easy enough considering some of the other cross promotions that have happend.
