I'm pretty sure accepting will be an HP. They seem to be HP-happy. I had 4 inquiries from them alone on my EQ.
I've been pre-approved for a new auto loan, but I don't need it. I'd like to be pre-approved for a CLI on my CC.
I thought the best rates on their CC was given with a 730, perhaps they've loosened things a bit. Double check before you go for it.
Thanks all for chiming in. Now I think about it, I don't think I got an HP for my checking account either. Only when I applied for the home improvement loan.
I think I'm gonna go ahead and pull the trigger when a few TLs report with lower util.
I'll keep you posted.

I've never had a HP for a preapproval from DCU... ever.
Meh, I have yet to get a DCU pre-approval even if my membership was established in 2000 (granted was inactive for a while but they never outright closed the accounts) have had an auto loan with them and 40 months on a secured card hehe.
Oh well, I know I'm bulletproof for a future auto loan from them and I've heard a rumor I might be able to get my secured card converted w/tradeline history to unsecured, so it's not like I'm not going to drop them out of my portfolio.
@OP: I would suggest the pre-approval is probably solid as a result hehe. They aren't very common apparently.
For me it was solid. I had 8 inquiries on TU and 2 on EQ.
I had the same offer and was approved.
DCU is on point with their pre approvals and since its a pre approval no hard pull required
