I was a lurker, but registered an account to make it official and join the Garden Club today.
Hoping to make it at least six months. June 1, 2015 or bust!

Come 12/4, it'll be two full months in the garden for me.
Congrats!
Good morning gardeners! Happy December to all.
I’ve been gardening for 5 months and 3 days.
Last month I was successful in increasing my Amex Hilton from $5,000 to $15,000. I also secured a small increase on VS, from $1,630 to $2,030.
Although I really want to apply for the new BJ’s card (I shop there regularly), I’ve held off - largely because I want to be sure there is nothing else I need more. Now that BJ’s is a Comenity card, I have no doubt I would be approved.
There are a couple of cards I’ve kept my eye on that would be more of a challenge for me. Citi’s Hilton Reserve card – because it has no foreign transaction fee. Hilton has quickly become my chain of choice, unseating Marriott. However, I can’t seem to get an approval out of Citi. I’d hate to waste an HP on a denial. Barclay’s US Airways card is tempting. Although I fly Southwest most of the time now, I plan to travel more; US Air & American are the second and third most prevalent carriers in my area (after SW). I think I would be approved mostly because Barclay’s is practically giving those cards away right now. Lastly, I’ve been watching the Diner’s Club madness play out. I didn’t think I wanted in – high annual fees, no sign-on bonus. But, DC has transfer partners I value greatly. Transfers to SW count toward companion pass, unlike UR points. I’m almost happy that I did not apply now. The whole thing seems like a hot mess! However, if things improve and BMO gets their act together, the annual fee may be worth it to me.
So…my December plan is to “wait and see”. The more time passes, the more likely it is I’ll see a Citi approval instead of a denial (darn baddies!). Only time will tell what BMO is doing with their new offerings. Do I “need” US Airways? Or do I just want it because it won’t be an option soon with the merger. The jury is still out. Hence, wait-and-see mode.
Happily gardening until…
Yay it's December!!! I added myself as AU on DH's DiscoverIT, JCP, and Zales. I've been made a joint on Macy's. The good feeling of new credit cards in the mail without the stress of apping or the HP! The DiscoverIT knocked my EQ CS down 22 points because it has a high balance, but once it's knocked out this month that will be looking good. I'm not so obsessed with CS's as I once was. Just really looking to lower utilization this month. My big baddie on EX and EQ doesn't fall off until Sept 2015 so I am just paying down balances. So glad all the shopping for DS is done! Happy gardening!!
Here I am again! Waiting till my mortgage closes in 18 days
Just checking in
Still going strong! Hope everyone else keeps pushing!!
Looks like my US Bank Cash+ started reporting. Now only FNBO Amex is left out of all the new accounts.
I can't believe that 2014 is almost over! This was one of the best years of my life!! <3
