DGF app'd with dell and was given 3k to start with.  She cancelled her account 1.5 months ago, and I told her to re-instate it, so they gave her an auto-CLI to 5k.  We've never put more than $1500 on it PIF'd immeidately.  She's going to keep them around.  See just how far they will grow.

. Hahaha I remember reading that thread, it was somewhat amusing Smiley Tongue

Re: Dell Financing

I opened a Dell account late last year...no baddies on any of my cr's...high utilization, lots of inquiries...$1,000 CL and 0% for 12 months.

Re: Dell Financing

Signed up for a Dell Card last November, and its a DFS account NOT a Bill Me Later account. Instant approval $3000, 6 months 0% financing at least in December (I paid it off in 3 months). Easy to apply. payments are done on the web, reports to all three CRAs as WBk/DPS, but started as Citi/DPS - I think I got my account just as Dell went from Citi to Web Bank.  Dell runs a lot of 0% specials, not every week or every month, but they do run them all the time.

Re: Dell Financing

Well I think I need to think abut this a little bit longer and decide if the HP is really worth it... I guess that this is a sign that the "gardening effect" is working on me though Smiley Wink

+1

Look before you leap!

Then if the look shows you that it makes sense, go ahead and leap.

But look first. Smiley Wink

Oh, and then think! Smiley Very Happy

I have a Dell card, and I like it.  I only purchase things when I get offers (which happens frequently) for 0% financing.

I bought a laptop last year with 0% financing for 18 months (had an initial credit line of $2000), and after 3-4 months of paying on it they raised my credit limit to $4000.

That was a nice surprise!

What did your credit profile look like at the time? I.e. inquiries

Nothing derogatory, just high utilization; scores were probably mid-600s.  I had 6+ inquiries at the time, and they pulled Experian.

Re: Dell Financing

See, but that extra inquiry could be the difference between me getting the Hyatt Visa Sigmature or the Delta Gold Skymiles Smiley Wink

See if you can find a backdoor number. I would definitely call to recon for sure. Do you know who they pulled?

Re: Dell Financing

Oh, yeah I'm all over that, as soon as I get my letter. This is ridiculous. Its sort of backwards, I was approved by Amex, yet denied by Webbank.
