Denial?

This may be a stupid question, but I have to ask. Does it usually mean a denial when you apply on-line and they say "We will send you a decision by mail within 7-10 days."???

Re: Denial?

Depends on the bank....some like Hooters and Target can mean Approvals.

Others, usually mean denials .....what bank gave you this message?

Re: Denial?

Not necessarily. They may just need to verify some info. However, that message was always a denial for me in the past. Good Luck!

Re: Denial?

My Citi application gave me a wait message and it turned into an approval after I sent proof of identity. While not as encouraging as automatic approval, it is not necessarily a message of doom.

Re: Denial?

I get that message a LOT, but it hasn't always meant denial. You can call the place up and ask what's going on. I just did that with an app that I made with Citi and they want me to send a Hydro bill to verify my address (hope this is a good sign).

Re: Denial?

sian,

Yes Citi wanted a utility bill from me and it was an approval. I think it is good news. It sounds like they want to approve you but need to verify your address because some auto alarm was tripped. It happens quite a bit and it just prevents identity fraud.

Re: Denial?

Bella1980, not sure of the banks but this was the same message from TJ Maxx, Victoria's Secret and Dillard's when I applied.

Re: Denial?

I was thinking that it was because I just moved into this new apartment on August 1st. Hopefully I get my new hydro bill within a few weeks, so that I can send it in.
