Re: Denied BOA Secured Card

Movingforward,

You're correct. I app'd 12/15 for the auto. Didn't notice the disclaimer until now. So I may have a glimmer of hope. My secured card has been paid on time for 4yrs. The truck and new VS card will also be paid on time starting next month when the bill arrives.

Re: Denied BOA Secured Card

Since you have 1 secured card and a store card, additional secured cards will ony help a little.   Suggest you increase the CL like you plan, use the cards and wait a bit.

45 wait for cap 1 apps? Did not know that. I guess I shouldn't have applied for two cards at the same time. Smiley Sad

Re: Denied BOA Secured Card

I got denied for one as well. Pretty much expected it to happen, but was hopeful. Ah well, maybe in another year or so.

Re: Denied BOA Secured Card

There is no fast track to better credit, and upping limits and getting multiple cards too close together can actually hurt your score.  Why?  Because it makes you look desperate for credit, as in you need the extra credit to live on and you aren't likely to make good on the debt long term.  The system is set up for lenders, hence they assume the worst of you.
