So I just started this journey to rebuilding and got my first CC after a number of years. How do I determine when they will post to the CRA's for my utilization. On the document, it said they would provide my minimum payment info by the 15th and then my payment date would be the 12th of next month. So can I mark the 15th as the day I should have a little utilization on the card and pay to zero before the 12th? Or will I just need to wait and see when they report?
I'm just hoping to get a little bump the first month of reporting. This is a capital one card if that makes any difference.

most cards report 3-5 days after your due date so if you want to keep low util try to keep your balance low around then
also my cap 1 card reports 3 days after my due date

Reported utilization is the balance present on a day statement is cut. It has nothing to do with due dates.
If you are trying to be mindful of what's reported, pay down your card BEFORE statement is cut.
Keep in mind, you will still need to make another payment by the due date.
+1 This is solid info here. And if you want to make sure that you close with a $0 balance but want to continue with using your card, push a payment larger than your expected spend to your account so as to create a credit. Doing so will allow you to continue to use your card and eating away at the credit and also reporting $0 balance. Be mindful if you indeed want to do this that you push a payment to the card LARGER than your expected spend.
Capital One's statement cut date is always three days after the due date. The statement dates on cards from some banks will vary by a day or two. In those cases, check your online account or the current statement to find out the next close date.
Also, a handful of cards will report balances on a day other than the statement cut date. US Bank is the most notable example; they report on the first of the month. Chase reports the statement balance on the statement date like most cards, but they also report zero whenever one pays to zero.
