Did Chase or Citi Approve You w/ a BK Recently?

Hi there,

I'm very interested in these prime cards, but since I have a BK that's less than 7 years old I'm afraid that they won't approve me.  I've had no baddies since the BK and have rebuilt since '05 with an Orchard Bank.  I do have some new credit that needs to age as well.

If you've been approved with a BK, please share your scores, report pulled, approval CL, and if you had any recent baddies since your BK.

Thanks for your help.  Maybe I'll work up the nerve to apply based on your responses.

Good luck with Citi.  I have a BK just over seven years old and applied in May of this year for one of their cards.  No luck.  I have not tried Chase yet but will probably wait until my existing 3 credit cards age a bit more.

Hi, i believe if you read other threads on this forum unfortunately citi, or chase does not like BK.  I too have a BK on my cr from the year 99 i can't wait until next june, and july where it will be off my reports then i too want to app'd with citi and chase.  Good Luck in finding your answer.

FYI I filed BK against CITI in 89. I now have a Diamond Preferred at 8300 open in Jan 08 and a Professional at15k, open in Sept 07. Both are in their intro periods. I was given the lowest rates after the intro. 6.99 for the Diamond, 7.24 for the Pro. Here's the kicker: They will not grant you a limit increase if you have filed against them, but for some reason, I got 2 accounts? I asked for an increase on the Diamond and the reason for denial was the BK that is no longer on my reports, but still in their system. I filed against Amex green and received the Blue and have been given 5 increases since Jan 07 when account was open. They have since sent offers for the Platinum, Starwoods, Hilton, and so on. When I log on to Amex it says cardmember since 1987, even though their was a 20 year absence So why is CITI treating me this way, I'll never know. CSR are rude as well as Supervisors.

I got both with a BK7 slightly over 7 years old last year. Matter of fact I included Chase in my BK. Not major dollars though just a few K.
