I just applied online and it asked me for some basic info. I submited it, and about 30s later, another screen popped up and it asked for more info. So I entered my info, and then it went into processing again.
After that, it says I got approved and asked me to set up online account and I did. Then, I tried logging into my online account but it says account is being set up, but I could check my application status. I put in my social, and it gave me this message:

![]() | ![]() | Date Submitted: 3/29/2013 Your application is being processed. We have received your information but need to perform additional processing before we can provide you with a decision. You will hear from us within 30 days of your application being submitted. Please check back in the future to get an update on the status of your application. |
Does this mean I did not necessarily got approved? And I just misread the page somehow?

I think you got approved they may need to verify info.
I know when you first set up an account with them, you need to wait 3-5 days for them to "set your account up" before you can log in. They will email you when you can log into your account. As for your status message, I never checked my status after I was approved so I'm not sure.
thanks everyone. I just called. CSR couldn't help and needed a manager to look at it. He checked my app and told me I'm approved for 9000!
How do u guys get them to rush the card? I asked if its possible and he said nope

It came fairly fast for me and my fiancee. She applied on Sunday and received it today. In comparison, my Amex took forever to arrive.
yea i am still surprised I got an instant approval.
This is my 1st instant approval out of all the online apps I've done so far. Chase always gave me a pending message and American Express just flats out declines me.
