Did my first recon - Barclays CLI

I have to say, I've learned a lot being on this board for less than 2 months. I never knew about recons. I thought whatever answer you receive when applying for credit (approved, denied, credit line ect...) was the final word. There is a treasure trove of experience and knowledge here and I find it to be very interesting.

I was estatic to be approved for a Barclay's card. It seems to be kind of tough to get sometimes and I like Apple products so I really wanted to get it. Was approved for a credit line of $1300.00 during my recent app spree. Of course, we're never satisfied with what we have. Given an inch, take a mile. Receive a $1300.00 credit line, want $2k. I've been kicking around calling to ask for me. Yes, no, yes, no... I didn't care if they said no, it wasn't going to ruin my day so I figured why not. I called today and after a few questions about my current income and why I had to file for BK in '09, they approved me for $2k.  I didn't care if I was approved but it gave my day a nice boost!  They girl didn't say anything about pulling a CR but she was able to see all of my cards and that the $1300.00 was one of my higher limits.

I said this last week but I will stick to it now. I am done! I will garden for awhile!  Just think of this recon as adding a little fertilizer to the soil Smiley Happy

Re: Did my first recon - Barclays CLI

Looking at my signiture, you can see the difference between bad credit (the Orchard was $750. until last week) and credit that is getting better. Nice to see progress!

A note about their 0% offer, when I applied, I chose the 0% for 6 months for purchases of $999. or less. I asked if that could be changed to 12 months for purchases over $999. She said that it was automatic. So maybe it doesn't matter which option you choose when you apply?
