What are the differences between the two following Discover cards? I see that one requires 5 star credit, while the other requires 4 star credit

1 is for 14 months at 0% on BT & purchase, the other is 18 months at 0% for BT and 6 months at 0% on purchase
They both have excellent credit listed as a requirement. Although I really dont think thats accurate when it comes to this card. The stars dont pertain to credit they are the rating of each card. Same benefits but each card has different terms
Actually no, the bottom is one 0% for 18 months on balance transfers and 0% for 6 months on purchases.
The top one is the better deal (and harder to obtain), 0% for both transfers and purchases for 14 months.

I know it's not accurate. They gave me one!

I got the Discover It (for students) the week I turned 18 with absolutely nothing in my credit report so you most definitely do not need excellent credit!
