Dillards Card Approval-New and Need Help

Hi All,

  I just wanted some feedback on the Dillards Store Card.  I have a 680 Fico and got approved for a 300.00 CL.  I use to have a Dillards Card in 1999 with a higher limit.  Any feedback on this store card would be great.

I have the Dillard's Amex rather than the store card. They're both backed by GECRB, who is known for allowing a soft pull for a CLI every four months. Mine started out at $700 this past April and is now up to $4200. Take good care of your card, use it and pay it off every month. With any luck at all, it will grow well for you, too.

Opened my store card 7/09 at $700; CLI's come by calling in and requesting after each fourth statement.  Mine have usually been $200-300 CLI's.  After 27 months, the CL made a significant jump to $4800.

I use my card very rarely (sometimes only once in four months) and always PIF.  They have a bizarre-o policy of only taking cash or check payments on the account if you pay in store.

They have some awesome in-store sales and clearances, but it seems you have to "run" into them.

what credit report did they pull?  i live in texas....

Dillards Store/Amex will pull EQ for Texas.

My wife was approved for one about 8 months ago.

They started her out with $700, 8 months later, she's at $4K.

All soft CLI....1 auto and 1 requested recently.
