Did they get approved automatically? I just applied for the Elite card, and basically got a message thanking me for applying, that my application is being processed, and that I'll get my card within 7-15 days if approved. TU is ~760, so we'll see...
They didn't say but I assume so.

Actually I take that back it was an instant approval on the Premier card.
AAoA is 5.5 years, 5% utilization (25k Amex BCE, 12.5k BoA, 10k CSP), 1 inq on TU, 100k income..1 30 day late on a student loan 5 years ago. I called the provided number, the rep said that she didn't have record of my app yet, and to try calling back after a business day had elapsed. So I'll try again midweek..

I never dealt with this lender before so I have no idea, but it seems like you would be a strong candidate.
If the airport lounge access is indeed free, I'm definitely getting this card when my gardening is over. Their network looks pretty good. And don't forget the primary rental car insurance either.

@Anonymous wrote:On the back of my Discover card IT is a Diner's Club logo.
So what's the difference and if my Discover is accepted at a Diner's Club, merchant it seems silly to apply for a separate card.
Your thoughts?
Not sure of your point. I'm sure the merchants would also accept visa and mastercard. At one point discover bought diner's club, but now its owned by the Bank of Montreal. I believe the new cards are on the mastercard network. Its a completely different program from discover so other than that logo they have nothing in common.
According to wiki, DFS still owns Diner's Club.
http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diners_Club_International
discover owns the dinersclub network and dinersclub international, diners club u.s.a is onw by dinersclub and it is a MasterCard
To clear up the confusion, here is a simple explanation:
Think of Diners' Club like American Express. Credit card-wise, they are 2 businesses merged together: the payment network, and the issuing bank. This list here shows the cards that use the Amex payment network but are not issued by Amex as a bank: http://ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/Credit-Cards/List-of-Amex-credit-cards-that-are-not-actually-issued-...
Discover is another example: the Walmart Discover card is processed on Discover's payment network but is not issued by Discover.
So Diners' Club is(was) also 2 entities merged together. The payment network business has been bought by Discover, but the issuing bank business is lone standing. This Diners' Club card was issued by the issuing bank business and has nothing to do with the payment network business; the card uses the Mastercard payment network.
