@youngandcreditwrthy I am aware of how things used to be with my 40 years of credit history. I always paid the balance in full each month. There have a couple of times with bill pay I made a typo and paid interest. If you want better rates on credit cards look at a credit union. The interest rates on credit union credit cards are a around quarter to a third less than the mega bank.
Wells Fargo I was a customer of theirs once I was on mother's checking account as as a signer just in case.As of 2008 I am no longer a customer of Wells Fargo. I can do better elsewhere than a mega bank.
the day they do this to me is the day i no longer have a disco card, no one gets this information, cap 1 can shove it.
Yeah I'm not taking a photo for ID verification. If they can't figure something out, account closed.
the amount of data and invasion of privacy, we haven't a clue.

Synchrony has been doing this for at least a year. I had to do it when I applied for (and received) my Synchrony Amazon Prime card. I don't do business with Chase so the Synch card was my only choice and I spend about $1500 with Amazon each month.
The Synchrony application not only checks your photo ID but it requires an actually scan of your face. You have to turn left and right in front of your cell phone camera. It's not just a selfie.

another example: double cycle billing was banned, and the banks INCLUDING AMEX went to triple cycle billing.
What do you mean here? I'm not familiar with these terms.

I think I might have had to do that one for my Amazon Store Card too now that I think about it. Funny thing is, got a Verizon VISA in May, and there was no verification like this.

Wow. No words.
Confirm your post. WIll take the same action.
In fact the Discover/Capital One card is on the chopping block pending what the end result looks like. The day of 1:1 rewards and categories is really not fitting my spend pattern so, have no need.
