Thanks to all the great information available here I asked Discover via chat for a APR reduction since I am coming on my one year anniversary. I was really looking for them to offer 0% for 12 months instead and that's what they did. Nice feature from Discover and with Christmas and Amazon catagory I think I'll take advantage if needed.
The OP took the 0% for 12? months on new purchases offer that you can get pretty reliably if you time it right...
Dang I wish they offered me that. They took 5% off my apr when I asked a couple weeks ago.
Perm or temp? Also there needs to be a gap between 0 offers... think it’s 6 mo
Me personally, id take permanent reductions but then again im poor as fico
I took the 0 because I wanted to make a large purchase... =)
But I would have taken a perm reduction if the 0 wasn't offered....
Can see situations where temp might be a good option but not if your offered a 0 or perm....
