Discover Balance transfer after Approval question?

So I applied for the "pre qual" Discover IT. After reading these boards getting a higher CL with BTs, I made sure I put in two BT since my credit is thin and short. I figuired I would get the low end of the stick as far as CLs go. So I was approved Friday night, my CL is 500 but my BT are $280 and $800. I called to find out what the CL was and he told me and I asked about the BTs. He stated that they will PROBABLY do the lower one but not the other. He stated it takes two week to initiate. Anyone see a bump in CL after BTs with discover? How long before BT are done in actuality?

For my experience with Discover, no CLI and I have done a few.

I think for Discover you just need to bring a little bit of patience for a CLI and I doubt that a BT will affect  a potential CLI - Good luck anyhow !

I probably did not word my OP very well, there was some discussion a while back where people were getting approved for a larger CL becuase they included BT in the inital app that were larger than the inital CL. For example in my case, the 500 CL turns into a 500 + BT= the new CL after the BT go through. My question for anyone that had this happen to. How long did it take for the BT to occur and  was the inital CL bump up after the BT? FYI, I included these BT in the inital app.....

i was initally given 5k. and yes the balance transfer takes a week.  you can always try to recon or tweet them!

Well op this is trick unjust learned with discover. Rep mentioned it. Even though you got 500 limit. Push both bt's in. Computer will give automatic cli. And you won't be maxed out. Just a nugget for you worst can happen. They take small transfer and reject larger one. But. I'm not sure why you got so low limit.  Last person did it with. 4k limit. Pushed. 5500 thru. Raised to. 6500. So not sure in your case. Good luck.
