I finally received CLI #2 this morning.. After being with Discover almost two years! Went from $1700 to $2600.. Still the smallest limits of all my cards, but I'll take it.
Congratulations!!!
Nice increases everyone!
$4450 is pretty damned good for Discover!
You have me beat by $450 on that increase amount. The highest I've seen around here for a single CLI was $6500 I believe.
Congrats !!!!!! Im hitting that button every 31 days and been having slow success but ill take it.

or people riding the CLI train all the way to $20-34,000.
Can you guys (and gals) give me a little insight into how often I should be hitting up Discover for these increases?
I've had both of my Discover cards for about 4-6 years and I can't seem to figure out how these people are getting these Godzilla-size increases.
Does anybody know ANYTHING that can possibly give me a little insight?
Here's what I'm working with:
Discover More $8250 - Last increase 60 days ago
Discover IT $11,500 - Last increase 30 days ago.
Should I be hitting that LUV button again or something?
Any help is greatly appreciated!

I started with $7,000 in May 2014 with Discover. I'm now at $34,500. I for a while last year on the train I would hit the luv button every 31 days. I feel sometimes it's best to go 2,3, or 4 months without asking for an increase. My last increase was for $6,500 and that was last month in July which put me over the top to $34,500
I'm going to wait six months or maybe 1 year and hit the luv button again just to see what happens. I use my Discover card a lot and put on about $2,000 a month and of course pay in full every month.

Nice data point here on a $2k/mo spend being able to yield a $34,500 CL. I've often wondered if it took a $5k or so spend per month to get a CL that high; it's good to know that spending less than that can still result in a very nice CL. I've been putting about $3k/mo or slightly more through my Amex BCE and will be requesting a CLI from them in less than 3 weeks. Once I'm done with that, I'm switching that spend over to Discover for a cycle and a half and then I'm due for my first Discover CLI at 91 days. Hopefully if they see a $3k spend / PIF they'll show me some first CLI love. We'll see.
Update: I just got another MONSTER increase on my other Discover card.
Sitting back drinking Makers Mark 46 last night, I decided to push my luck and app for an increase on my Discover IT card after
the fabulous increase I received on 8/9 on the Discover More. It IMMEDIATELY went to review status and I was like #$%! (drinking and increasing bad decisions!)
Logged in this morning and the CL had jumped from $11,500.00 to $16,000.00!!!
Thats $8,950 from Discover in 2 Days!!! I'm on fire!
Thanks again guys! Your insight just KILLED it!
