Discover CLI - May have made a mistake

Hi,

 

So my 6 month mark was a few days ago and I got the credit limit increase link.

 

Click on it, and thought...... what the heck lets go for 5K.

 

Got a message saying that they would need to run my credit to approve.  I click cancelled, went back in, and entered 4K.

 

Got the same message, so I click cancel again, and then click on start over.  I got a message that I could not enter a credit limit increase because one was currently in progress.

 

Does this mean that I somehow mistakenly allowed them to pull my credit?  Has anyone had this happen before?

Others have posted the same issue with trying to cancel. You might want to call and explain that you cancelled the request.

Does the website always ask before saying it needs to pull credit when doing CLI through discover.com?

Yes it was very clear. 

 

Once you enter your info, and click on submit on the first page a second page will appear.

 

Mine said that further review was needed, and that clicking on submit again and it will hard pull your credit.  They instruct you to click cancel if you do not want your credit pulled.

I had this happen a few months ago, as well as others. It seems to be a glitch with their luv button and should clear out in a couple of weeks. I called to verify when it happened to me, and was told it gets hung up but that a hard pull would not happen since they can see that you hit cancel. It took about 6 weeks for mine to reset, another poster said it took hers around 3.

It happened to me as well. I tried it twice because both times it stated that my reports to be pulled to be considered for the amount i requested so I cancel both times but I guess it got locked and it says until now that my cli is in progress.  Still no cli and I'm sure I canceled both times. Hopefully it resets soon.
