Discover CLI Strategy Help

I was approved for Discover It last month with a $10,000 SL. I took advantage of the 0 APR BT and transferred $1,800. I also put another $400 in regular spending on the card. What is the best strategy to get a CLI after 3 months? Should I try to pay the entire BT in full? Or is it better to keep that as a balance? My preference is to pay down the balance over time due to the 0 APR while I finish paying off a car but I am also trying to increase my CLs so I can close about $3,000 in credit I have with Credit One.

Unfortunately, there is no pattern, rhyme or reason with Discover CLI's. Literally just hit the increase button every so often and see what happens 😂

Discover loves to see payments. So make your regular payment like $1,000 a month and then hit that love button after your third statement posts. If you show you are using your credit line and making paypments, Discover will reward you.

There is no rhyme or reason with discover.  Nobody has the answer to this 😆

I did call the CLI line that the online chat gave me. They said they are able to review one every 30 days.

Read your tea leaves. If you see an image of a platypus playing the piano, you are guaranteed a CLI. Anything else, it’s a crapshoot.

Seriously though, Disco will decline a CLI one day and give one the next day when nothing has changed... they really are impossible to figure out.

Watch for an auto cli to pop up between statements 2-3 and when / if it does then go hit that button and call after that for even more.

Timing with Disco though really isn't an option.  It could be 2 mins between them or 2 years between them.  Depends on your profile and activity for the most part.  The biggest thing w/ any card is to make sure you use it and pay it eveyr month to generate activity for the computer to see.  Doesn't have to be anything more than $5/mo but, it has to be something.
