Re: Discover CLI button.

We used to put all the spending on a 20k Amex. But due to a couple bad flights we're no longer going to fly delta after this last flight we have already booked to Louisiana. So we moved all spending to cash back cards. So now we have to work on CLI's on them.

@Anonymous, how much spend have you put thru your card monthly?

February - $669

March - $768

April - $875

My SCL was $1.6k and now it is $2.1k.  Do you think I should spend more on the card?  I have a few new cards so I am balancing spending as much as I can on each of these cards.

I try to keep my main spending on just a couple cards so our rewards aren't spread across a lot of cards. Mine and my wife's current line up is the DC@2%, discover chrome that matches my cash back for the first year and QS with a 1.5. The DC and QS both are on 0 APR intros for purchases and BT's. Other cards we just use every now and then just to keep spending on them where rewards aren't as good. We also use the BCP for groceries. Because that's 6% and our groceries which average 600-800 month.

For us now it's about replacing those miles with cash.

You go to "Account". Under "Credit Options" you'll see "Credit limit increase"

Re: Discover CLI button.

Every 30 days when you get your statement and score update you can ask but that doesn't mean you will get it

Well, I hope you don't have to wait as long as I did. Mine was almost 2 years before it showed up (got the card in 2012). During that time, I called for a HP CLI, and then got an auto CLI, but no online CLI button.

It showed up a few months before the Great Discover CLI Gravy Train of 2015,

As often as you would like, but if it's before 91 days you are probably going to get denied. That's just the standard fare, they say you don't have enough experience with current limit.

I asked 2 times, once after each of my first 2 statements cut. That was the answer both times. Then, about 2 weeks ago they gave me a 1500 auto CLI. This Friday will mark my 91 days with this discover. I'm going to try again for a luv button CLI and see what happens.

I put a little bit of spend on mine each month. Usually only around $1000
