I've been able to do it multiple times a month. Not sure if there's a limit though...
It was SP every time. No way I would do a HP several times a month
I do know at times they will require a HP, but they'll ask if you want them to proceed before they do it.

UPDATE: Just did the Discover SP CLI and received a $3,000 increase. Now up to $10,200. My first card over $10k! This card started at $4,500 in March then auto CLI in June to $7,200.
Congrats on your first 5 figure card!!!!!
Nice job on the CLI and getting over a $10k limit!
One thing to keep in mind though. If you receive an auto CLI from Discover, 9 times out of 10 if you request a CLI the following day you'll get another CLI... often for the same amount as the auto CLI the day before +/- a little. Auto CLIs have no bearing at all on manual (requested) ones, so if Discover throws you an auto CLI it's because your profile/account is deserving and supports it... what this means is that if you ask for a CLI the following day, there's almost no reason that you wouldn't get it as the auto CLI and manual one have no bearing on each other. Just something to keep in mind for next time you (or anyone) gets an auto CLI from Discover!
You can do it as often as you'd like but, you probably won't get instant results w/o timing it out to 90 days.... however less than 90 days seems to work as well.

Fantastic UPDATE!
Congrats on crossing a brand new milestone!
