Discover Credit Limit

Does anyone know the credit limit that triggers proof of employment/income? I am sitting at $29,800 right now and have only the one card with them.  I am sure this has been asked on this forum but my search has come up cold or the information is outdated.

I think you are fine unless you lied about income or perhaps the info they use to correlate income doesnt match. We were seeing some 4506-t requests recently but imo that seemed more applicsnt specific than general population. Poi is seldom asked for by Disco though more prevalent with Amex after a certain threshold

Thank for the quick response. Just to be clear, my credit limit is $29,800 not income.  I was thinking of going for $35,000. POI is not an issue but I don't want the hassle.

Discover was only sending out 4506-T requests to specific accounts. 

With how random they are with granting CLIs anyway, I would say you have nothing to lose asking them.

My bad, great limit. Great thing about Disco is cli requests are sp unless they tell you they need to pull. I hulk smash a million times and not once have i been offered the hp opportunity

You cannot request any particular amount with them, so ask and see what, if anything, they give you 

Another thing, Discover won't do HP on demand, so if they say no to increase, try again next time.

Also, OP, if you get an instant approval on your CLI request, call in and DD (double dip). Ask if you can get anymore on the same SP. The secret to this is it must be done the same day. I usually do it right after being instantly approved.
