I hate walking around the big box stores so the online grocery is great for me.  Do my order at night and set up next day delivery time, call inside when I get there, they load up my trunk and off I go. I've also ordered non-grocery type stuff like cleaning supplies thru the online grocery site as well. So, are you saying that Walmart online grocery codes as grocery for Discover 5% category?

Visa & MC code Wal-mart as grocery while Discover codes Wal-mart as a discount store/merchandise. Definitely wouldn't waste your time with Wal-mart trying to get 5% this quarter.

Are u sure u are reffering to ONLINE WMT Grocery and not the store itself?

We do get 3%/6% CB ON AMX BCP on WMT Online Grocery at Grocery.walmart.com

This Walmart does code as 5411 for MC/Visa, and, with the exception of Chase, has always qualified as the grocery category for any MC/Visa where it's mattered (Barclay, BofA, USBank, Citibank, CCU), which makes me venture that if any Walmart were going to count as grocery for Discover, this store would, so likely no Walmart will qualify, which is again what most of us suspected.

I'll have you know that I really took one for the team here, sacrificing a potential 6¢ in cashback by using my Discover card at Walmart.  But, hey, I'm a giver.
