All it took was a <1 minute phone call to the 800-number and I dropped the APR on the card from 22.9% to 18.24%. Well worth the small effort!

---Congrats! Thanks for sharing.
My question is how long have you had the card? I have one month left on the 0% promo then 22.9% starts.
Is it a permanent decrease or temp

I will share my experience since I just got a 3.75% APR reduction on my Discover It. I've had the card for 15 months. My 0% promo ended last month. I used the chat option and simply asked if my account qualified for an APR decuction. The rep took a moment to check my account, then told me they could lower it from 19.99% to 16.24%. It was that easy.
Congrats on your new lower rate, OP! ![]()

I opened the account in 11/2012. I simply asked the rep if she was able to reduce my APR at all, she took about 20 seconds and told me what the new APR was! I
Discover, they make it easy (I also received a CLI a few days ago). Oh, and it's permanent!
