i just applied for the Discover It in hopes they would pull TU but to my greatest surprise they tried to pull EQ which happens to be my highest credit score at 761. But here's the deal, I didn't anticipate they were gonna pull EQ so I never bothered to unfreeze my EQ file. I called the Backdoor number and the analyst asked me to unfreeze it and call back, which I eventually did. Now I called in and another analyst I spoke with told me to wait 3days before they can attempt to re-pull the file!!!! Is this normal or some bunch of BS?? My security freeze reverts tomorrow... What do I do?? Should I try to get someone else?? Thank you

You can call them again and see if you get the same answer. If you do then you will have to make sure your file is not frozen. So that means you will have to unfreeze it again for the next 3-4 days

I have never heard of Discover being unwilling to pull TU if EQ is frozen. I always thought only Amex and Chase were adamant about pulling a certain bureau. Good to know.
They pulled EQ on me when i applied. I think the reason they pull EQ is because once you get they card they SP TU all the time. My 2 cents
I would unfreeze it for a few days to let them go through the process unless you can get a response sooner.

Lol seems like you didn't get it. I had applied for a Discover last month and they pulled TU which was declined. So I went ahead to reapply this evening thinking they would pull TU again which was not frozen. Equifax was on ice so the analyst told me they tried to pull EQ but couldn't. She never asked about TU or EX, just told me to unfreeze the EQ and call back which really works in my favor anyways... Chase always pull EX for me and as for AMEX I can't remember what they pull cos it's been a while I applied for their product.

I always tell people that when they apply for credit to keep their CRs unfrozen for the time being (varies on what you're applying for) It's quite normal for an Creditor to take more than a week to pull your CR. And to note, Before I was approved for Discover, They pulled both my TU and EQ CR at the same time. You can't assume what CR creditors would pull as occasinally they would change up on you for many reasons (being a risky consumer for once, frozen accounts, lots of new account activity and etc.)
Woohoo I was approved!!!!!!!!
