I like the Forward for Student Idea, but I would stay away from CapOne Journey isn't that more of their elite card?

I don't like the idea of CapOne at all. I see myself eventually moving into the prime cards once these age out a bit and I graduate from college.
Also really like the idea of AmEx BCP.
So much I want, so little AAoA.

Cap 1 Journey is their student card. I am not a big fan of Cap 1 - pulling 3 bureaus seems a bit much for me- but they are good for starting people out

Ohhhhhhh JOURNEY lol I was thinking Venture. I would stay away away from Amex revolving cards in your situation. They are a pain to get

Course I could PC the Journey to the Venture year or so from now..
But longer-term isn't Citi a better company to be involved in? I kinda want cards I can "upgrade" with PCs

If I had to rank my cards on Company/Customer Service

1. Chase Sapphire and Sapphire Preferred

2. AMEX

3. Discover

1,345,567,224,564,675. Capital One - They suck. I cancelled my card with them (and it was my longest history) purely on the service I received when calling. Whether it be CLI or PC or can I change my (&^*%(* address

That's what I've noticed and wanted to steer clear. Really wish AmEx had a traditional checking account - I'd be on that in a heartbeat!

Personally I give all my business to Chase. There is a branch on every corner in Long Island, they offer everything and the Customer Service is top notch

I'm down at college in Southern VA (JMU woo snow if you guys saw the news yesterday about Harrisonburg lol) and the banking options physically consist of BofA, Wells Fargo, BB&T, SunTrust and a bunch of smaller banks that don't seem too great. I've got the BofA checking for cash deposits and they really have been great customer service wise with few exceptions. Would go with Chase in a heartbeat but they don't operate in Virginia and I had to go to Western West Virginia or Deleware to open an account. Uhhh.
