Discover It Student Card CLI Question

I have had my Discover It sense January, and it has been reported as paid for the last 7 months on my credit reports. My highest balance was $717.00, which I paid off in full (about 48%) of my credit line. Any tips on obtaining a credit limit increase? I know that my Equifax Fico 8 score was used for the original approval and only has risen 9pts from 660 to 669 over that time. Maybe when I pass the 670 number into the good credit range on that particular report, I will become eligible for an increase. In the past they said that it was due to collections accounts being on my credit report, but they were just removed from my Equifax Credit Report so I'm not sure what the issue is? Also, some of you have reported CL's in excess of $5,000, which I thought was the maximum limit for the discover It/Chrome Student cards. Were you upgraded to regular Discover It Cards when you passed a credit limit of $5,000? Average Monthly Spending on Discover it Card (last 7 months)≈31.9% of Credit Line or $498.00/month

Hey thanks for posting,

I understand there may be a way to combine newer credit cards to older credit cards of the same company and discover may be one I believe that is one way to have heavy high limits, of course one would combine to the older card to keep age for credit scoring. Also there is a credit limit increase button on their website you can push with no hard pull as I have seen and they are generous on their approvals and frequency. Hope that helps.
