Is the standard offer on this card 14months 0% APR? I thought so but the mailers I keep getting from Discover only offer that for 6 months, then 23.74%. The same is true when I go online. I want to apply for this card eventually but I'd like to get the full offer. I got the full intro periods on my AmEx and Chase FU.
When I got it, it was the 0% for 14 months. That was about 2 years ago now. I thought it was the standard though.
Sox....
Think of it the same way a car dealer says 0% for 72 months.
If you hit all of the criteria for the loan scores, income, DTI, etc. then you get those terms.
If you're getting 23.74% 0% for 6 months then they're telling you that you don't qualify for the best offer but you do qualify for something.
If you want 0% for a longer term for some reason then you need to look at your reports and work on your scores and overall profiles.
My scores are in the 680-710 range right now. They are certainly better than they were when I got the BCE and FU and I got 12 months and 15 months at 0% respectively.
I got 23.74% with 0% for the first 12 or 14 months (need to look it up) on purchases and balance transfers. I was glad to get that considering I'm very much in the rebuilding phase.
