Discover Platnum question

I received in the mail a preapproved offer from Discover for their platnum card. I have other CC's. I am listing them below. I know I read somewhere something about prime and subprime cards...Is it better to have a prime or a subprime card or am I confusing all this information? Also should I take this offer..meaning would it help my credit score in the long run? I sure hope this makes sense!

WAMU  cl- 2500.00   no annual fee
Best buy visa  cl $800.00 no annual fee
Orchard bank   cl $900.00      annual fee 59.00
Capital One   cl $500.00          annual fee 39.00

plus I have like three store CC's.

Re: Discover Platnum question

a better way to guage your chances would be to know what your fico scores are and if you have any negatives. discover is very strict.

Re: Discover Platnum question

me personaly, i wouldn't chance it. beleive me voice of experience here. if your ex is somewhat clean i'd say you would have no trouble getting a delta skymiles amex. you tu should get you a hooters, and justice has been generous to me w/a lower eq.

ok thanks! I think I will wait until I atleast get these two collections off then try. I was afraid of Amex....I have read alot of the posts on here and chickened in trying for them.

Re: Discover Platnum question

trust me, unless your baddies are on ex your score is boderline (if not good enough) for a blue, and a shoe in for a delta (which you can "product change" to a blue, maybe clear).
