A few mainly positive older threads here, and just want to add my experience.
To assess the pace of technological improvement, I pitted my two month old Samsung S6 Edge Plus phone against the door of my 2007 Toyota Camry. How well did the phone do? Surprisingly, not so well, being roundly beaten by the much older door technology.
(The phone was in my raincoat pocket, I closed the door, and it got caught and I heard a strange crunching noise, so I tried to close the door again and heard the same noise. Then I realized!)
I had bought it with Discover, and after filling in a few forms, they said they are sending me a check for the full repair amount. I was expecting more hassle after reading stories about how Amex is so much better than the others. Well, that's assuming the check comes soon.....
That's pretty spectacular! It's refreshing to be able to use a card's benefits without hassle or run-around. Please update us once you receive the check.
