Normally I pay at the pump and I prefer to do tap to pay when possible. For some reason my Discover doesn't usually work if I attempt tap to pay and I end up having to insert it (I don't like inserting when it's a full insert and most pumps are that way). Everywhere else tap to pay works fine and my lone other card (QS1) works every time using tap to pay at the pump. I'm planning to call them but wondering if anyone else has had this issue?
Edit: normally what happens is only one led on the unit will light up whereas all light upon a successful tap to pay.
Call Discover. Sounds card realted. Or try a different pump.

Does the pump say "see cashier" or "card declined"? If not, it means your card might be damaged. Because it should at least read and make the reader light up.
But I can tell you from experience, they are still working on tap to pay, at least for AmEx and Discover. I have been to so many places where I tap my AmEx and it says declined, but it works when I insert it. I think it is some sort of technoogy issue with the payment processing networks. Of course, they are going to support Visa and Mastercard, but I think AmEx and Discover might take awhile to get fully adpoted.
