Discover automated phone CLI is absolute GOLD

I wish there was some way to determine how discover decides who will get sp cli love and who won't. They sp cli me every month and my fico scores are decent and credit report is clean but still no sp cli love for me :-(

No luck with the phone.

The online system said last month that a HP was required. I declined and came out of the application. Since then (must have been 10 days) the online form doesn't show up; the website cites some kind of technical difficulty or the other. 

Last Saturday I tried the phone call. The robo-cli asked all the details like income and rent, and then declined. It also said it'll send me the letter of CLI decline by mail. For a couple of days after the robo-cli req, the online req said "decision pending" and I can't do anything else. Now it's back to some technical difficulty.

Guess I'll sit through a couple of months before trying again. I've used the card, kept balance (0% APR), paid off everything et al. My last CLI was a HP in early Dec, maybe that's why there's no more luv. Who knows.

Wow OP good scouting on this. Called yesterday, automated system wanted income and rent, then said it had to connect me to an agent to "very a few more things". I hung up before the transfer and bam, today I hopped from 2.5K to 6.5K! FWIW I paid a minimum of $500 monthly from a large purchase a few months ago.

IIRC, one should wait at least 3mos from opening of card correct? I haven't tried yet, but I think that's what the CSR told me when I activated it.

I don't think there is anything official with discover cli. I think its pretty random who gets those sp cli. Maybe i am just an little annoyed i am not getting any sp cli love with an cleanish credit report lol
