they approved a credit limit of $4,003 and not today about 2 days later they said I was approved of $2,500. Do they have a tendency to tell you one thing but do another ? Probably keep the card in my sock drawer of they won't give me a higher limit imo
Yeah on the page it said congrats blah blah and your limit is now $4,003. Got an email today saying congrats you got a increase to a total of $2,500 along with a cash advance limit if $1,000

How much was your original CL before the increase? The $4,003 seems like a very odd number. I have seen other companies as they are in the process of "updating" their systems late in the evening show a completely messed up number on the available credit. So if that was the case, it is possible that the number was inacurate based on current limit showing, plus the increase.
Just a thought.

Probably an error in the system with the initial increase... But I may be wrong.
+1 to the "error CL" theory.
4,003 is not a normal CL.

Are you sure you are not confusing CL with CLI?
In any case, they only gave me a $1000 CL, and with it I have made hundreds of dollars in rewards in just a year. So, I don't know what your problem is. It's not the size, it's how you use it...

I've heard that somewhere before...

No sir. Size most definitely matters. Gives you more leeway.

On contaire! Smaller sizes can demand more, EVERYWHERE! And people are very accommodating. On the other hand, Big sizes soon find themselves with "Nor here, buddy! You have enough as it. If you decrease it, you can come back and ask again." I wouldn't like that, that's why I know how to optimize small... it's an art. And the rewards keep coming and coming....
