So my 7th statement cut on the 11th. I have been checking a few times a day since. I woke up today and saw I got an email from DSC last night 1 AM with the subject "Congratulations". I don't think I have ever clicked an email that fast. Unsecured, returned security deposit, no CLI (I expected that part).
Background and DP's:
I started with the $300 and increased it to $800 then increased it to $2000, which is the amount it unsecured at. I think this is the max this card will unsecured at (based on what I have seen here) and probably would have unsecured at this level even if I did not add any more money. I have seen many post going from $300 to $2000 without adding to security deposit.
(I added to the deposit because I needed to make a large purchase from a company that did not take debit cards. I was worried that DSC might be spooked by a $1000 purchase but I had no choice).
I started with a low 500s score in September and didn't even bother trying the prequal. My DSC scorecard now shows 697 TU. They also soft pulled EX on 4/1/19. (which is who they HP when I applied) I think that SP is the computer determining if to unsecure or not. That's my theory anyway since I don't have any other SP from DSC.
I have 2 yo BK and one paid student loan that was in collections. Otherwise clean.
665 EX, 698 EQ, 697 TU. I did not burn DSC.
I use AZEO with DSC as the card reporting
.
Morpho now that is a good feeling! Grats!!!
Congrats! It’ll just keep on growing!
YOU...
CONGRATS on your Graduation!!!
I just product changed to tbe 5% rotating category card. 2 minute phone call. I'm really loving DSC.
Congratulations on your unsecure, @Anonymous!
Congrats on the graduation! I just graduated myself, started with a $200 deposit, never increased it and Discover gave me a $2500 limit so it is possible to unsecure past $2000.
@enning
wow you are a rarely with the unsecured amount of $2500.00 (as far as i've seen anyway) very nice!
