Hi all ![]()
I've had a discover More card for a few years now. Gotten a bunch of CLI's on it and it's all the way up to $18,300.
I finally got an It card and it was only for $4500 though. I recall asking for a CLI via the luv button when I immediately got the card, and got a message (I think) saying that I had to wait 6 months for my first one.
Anyone gotten a CLI with Discover and your account was under 6 months? And if so, how? Maybe I should have just called in. ![]()
Thanks.
a little over 3 mos for me on the famous luv button. =p so try on 91 days. goodluck!
i put a lot of spend on it though and is now my daily driver so YMMV. can't wait for next wk. will tap that button again!
*2nd try for the 31 days cli cycle. wish me luck!

IIRC, the earliest you can request a CLI is around 90 days (it used to be 6 months). Keep in mind, given that you have two Discover cards, CLIs may be hit or miss. Any reason you have both - More and IT?
Thanks guys for the replies.
Why is it every time I mention I've got an It and a More card, I always almost immediately get asked why...? ![]()
Discover's been great to me with my More card, great service, CLI's left and right, tons of BT offers all the time. Of all the CCC's I've dealt with, they seem to care more about me than any of the others, hands down. It's been my best card by far, I thought if the More card is so great, why not have an It card also.

the reason people ask is because it more is inferior to the it. that's all. but no need to worry. you have an it now
Makes sense! ![]()
Thanks for the clarification.

that bad cb makes me cringe compared to current cards. i literally facepalmed when i realized my dad still had a more. pc'd to it right away when i found out.
@OP cli depends really....they have been really stubborn with me. 8 months with a ton of spend (compared to cl) and i only got a $250 cli. i'm just going to be patient and ask for clis after every statement now since i dont really use it.

Maybe you should stop adding cards like crazy ? Each time I see your signature there is a new picture with a new card ....lol... Could be a bit too many new accounts for a conservative lender maybe ?
@OP... you can try after each statement cut and Discover is nice and you will see immediately if it requires a HP and stop again if it requires HP. Have you tried to PC the More to the IT card? Since you have the IT now and the More does not offer anything the IT not already has I would look at maybe the Miles card and try to PC ?
