I want to take advantage of the Discover It Paypal bonus points before it ends 10/01 but from experiance, it usually takes a few days for the transaction to post on Discover. However, it will show as pending but won't offically post for 2-3 days. Will that still showup for the bonus category?
It does, as long as the transaction date is accurate. It usually is accurate, unless you bought something that doesn't show a transaction date until it ships, even if it was pending from the original date. Most other times it will show your correct transaction date after it exits pending.
I had one of my Amazon purchases from last year not post until it shipped. I chat'd with Discover and they gave me the extra 4%, but they said it would be "one time only". Doubt it, but that is what they said.

These paypal key transactions bare taking forever to post. Wed transaction posted Fri but Thursday didn't post until Sunday. Friday transaction still hasn't posted. Hoping it posts before month ends.. Wednesday and Thursday transactions were at same merchant via PayPal key.
With the recent Shop Small offers from Amex, I recently found (through discussions on DoC) a website named "eGifter". It is basically a giftcard site that accepts many, many forms of payment (even BitCoin variants). They directly accept PayPal as well.
You can basically purchase many of the gift cards available. Or if you don't know what you want or need at this time, you can purchase the "eGifter Choice Card" which can be used later to purchase any other gift card (the only exclusions being Amazon or Walmart). I recently used some of my Choice Card balance for a Home Depot egift card, and it worked great.
I still have some unused Disco bonus $ that I'll probably run through that site today for some planned HD or Lowes purchases in the next few weeks.

If you use the Raise mobile app, it takes PayPal, and you get a discount on the cards you're purchasing too.
