I guess mine's gonna come in tomorrow and hopefully not while I'm at work.
I wish they would provide the Fedex tracking # in the email. It would make things so much easier.....

That would be helpful. But it's will be here shortly. Much better than the three weeks it took to get my cap1 secured cc.
I agree! LOL
I guess I should have applied over the phone when I app'd my amex gold PRG yesterday. No optionn for overnight shipping that I could find. Called CSR and she to said she saw no option.
My approval message advised 7-10 days, but my email approval message stated 2-3 days.
We'll see.
whats the count on how many of us were approved and got, or are waiting for fedex to bring, "IT" to us this week???
I make one...who else is in the club lol???
I also got an email stating my new "it" had been sent via fedex. Message sent 4:45 on 1/2. As of this morning, no card. Fedex ground, maybe? Certainly not overnight.
I must admit, I've been pretty disappointed with discover from start to finish. They initially approved me with a 2k credit limit. I called in to say that this was too low to be useful, since the reason I applied was for the zero intro apr and all the purchases I was going to be making exceeded 2k. Rep, while polite, said absolutely impossible. I said that I was therefore unable to make much use of the card. She said, "sorry" and hung up. Next day, I get an email stating my card had been cancelled as requested. Took several calls to get the card "uncancelled", only to find that now my limit was 3k. No new credit report, no new information, just a different day. So called back to say still not enough, they said, "sorry" and to ask for a cli in 6 months. In the interim, I got a card in the mail stating that every purchase I made in october would be 2% cash back. So I used the card for some non-categorized spend and got... 0.25% cash back. After several phone calls where reps denied the card I had received existed, I ended up getting the email address of a supervisor and emailing them a scanned copy of the card. But I still had to call again to get them to credit my account even after they got the scanned image. I then applied for a cli 6 months after approval, only to be told it was 6 months after activation. Called 6 months after activation, told its 6 months after first purchase. Called 6 months after 1st purchase, told it was after 6th statement cut. Tried online day after 6 month statement cut, now I can't until I activate the new "it" card.
So yeah, the people in Iowa, or Baltimore or wherever are in the US. But I've never had one do anything other than read a script and I've had several actively lie or do things like cancel a card without telling me. All for a card that has only really been useful for online purchases. I know some of you love this thing, but I think I'm just going to let it fade away like a bad memory. If they are shooting for Amex, they have a long way to go.

Numbers on the back are just printed on (which I assumes this means the card can't be used at any place that still uses the old-fashioned method of making a manual imprint of the embroidered numbers), and the magnetic stripe is on the bottom.
I'm assuming the lack of embroidered numbers is what allows them to get it out so fast.
sounds like my ING debit card is designed the same way. maybe the future of all plastics? my card numbers is just printed across the back, no imprints, but the stripe is still in the normal place.
I wasn't pleased with the expediting, oddly enough. They managed to time it so I'd be out of town when the new card arrived and I've had packages stolen from my front door before. Thankfully, FedEx decided to put it in my mailbox and it was waiting when I got home.
It isn't the prettiest card, but who cares? 1% base cash back made it a no brainer to convert from the More.
