It should come back in the next reporting update Discover does. One reason why I retain a hard copy every online credit reports....in case I have to take on the correction with a creditor.

Re: Discovering Stuff with Discover

This happened to me too! I got a CK alert. Discover Financial Services was removed and replaced with Discover Bank. It's not the most recent, though. It's still showing my balance reported from June. Why did they not include the most recent statement, which was released a couple of days ago?

Re: Discovering Stuff with Discover

Same here. I been waiting to see if this change surfaces here on the board and it finally did.

No one got any notices that i'm aware of, they just did the switch with no explaination?

I noticed the same exact change to my card.

This happens when banks change names/sell accounts and occasionally when cards are reissued after theft.

Nothing to worry about. It won't affect your FICO or AAoA at all.

Did it happen this week for you too?  Or was it some time ago?

I was notified last week. As others have noted, it's probably reflective of the corporate structure.

Re: Discovering Stuff with Discover

mine changed over as well.

I think Discover is in the process of merging everything together or something, as they are becoming a major bank eventhough they only have 1 physical branch in the whole united states and are majorly online. They are becoming a full service bank though, they are only missing auto loans, and more branch locations that's it. Only time will tell though. Smiley Very Happy

an bit off topic but they are under rated for savings account bank their rates aren't too shabby, only issue i would have is that you are required to have 500 dollars, i know its not an lot but still its requred min amount. I don't think GE, Ally, or barclays require that and they also all have higher interest rates for savings accounts.

Re: Discovering Stuff with Discover

That's all they need is 1branch. Capital one started that. With a few branches. And nationwide customer following. Making money hand over fist. But. Discover has corrected its bad ways. Imo. And I may be wrong. Only rival to customer service is amex. And the it card is bringing thousand of customers.

Their customer service is in genearl very good, All US based which is nice as well. They only issue I have if any with discover is getting a CLI with them can be an pain in the butt. I don't think they really have an set criteria for CLI. Or they may have criteria but its very convoluted i think
