Do Store Cards Ever Reduce APR?

I have a Banana Republic store card with a very high APR (as store cards usually do) and I'm curious if store branded cards, whether a pure store card, or a store Visa/MC, will ever reduce an APR upon request. I attempted to ask for an APR reduction on my Banana card and was told that the advertised APR is the lowes APR available for the card. Is that always true?

Re: Do Store Cards Ever Reduce APR?

Most store cards only offer one APR with the card so that pretty much says it all

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

Negative ghost rider pattern is full. Proceed to major bank for lowering apr's.

Re: Do Store Cards Ever Reduce APR?

Yes it's true, store cards ineligible for APRD, only fit for PIF purchases due to usurious interest rates.
