Responses appreciated and thank you in advance.
no limit per se, but all the cards I add must serve some purpose. So I won't add a card just to add it. There has to be some specific reason, other than a SUB, that I add it. Currently I have five new cards in my sights, and plan to cancel one of my existing cards ....

I limit myself to five credit cards, and I set the credit limit for those cards myself.
No limit on cards, but eventually I will start requiring a CL of $10k then $15k then $20k to keep them.
DON'T WORK FOR CREDIT CARDS ... MAKE CREDIT CARDS WORK FOR YOU!
Just one more, just one more, just one more...
@AyaMai My maximum is what I can carry on my digital wallet(11 cards), so easy as carrying one(phone).
I am a low spender but I like having limits that allow me to stay under 10%, so $5-10k per card is ideal... some cards were added for diversification, cash back and relationship, or just for the fun of it(bonus).
I have 11 cards (correction 13) plus two more as an AU. Around $250,000 in limits. Some cards are SD.
I am planning on at least two more cards.
I aint chasing SUBs or any number but going for cards that meet a spend purpose.

It's a problem...
I'd like to have a smaller number of CCs... but some are just too dang good. It appears that my permanent line-up will have at least 10, but I don't see getting up to 20... if there's so many individual uses I will make P2 pick them up (trying to keep the number of different financial institutions limited, and have mentally "assigned' him to citi and capital one, for example). I have no problem downsizing as I replace cards with better ones. I would like all my limits to be 25k (failing that, multiples of 5k).
At some point I will downsize and optimize. I want to have under 10 cards. As for limits, I just want a few with limits high enough to cover any emergency.
