All of my statement cut dates are the 28th. I PIF each month on the 27th. I'd go to the 30th instead but February only has 28 days (excluding leap year) so it keeps it simple for me.
All my credit cards are due on the 18th. All the utility bills that I can have on auto pay get auto paid w a credit card. I want to simplify as much as possible. If I could get my mortgage charged to a credit card I would do that as well.
Life's too short to be logging into accounts and paying bills every other day.
I get emails that are auto-entered into my calendar on the phone. But I PIF on all cards every payday anyway, so the actual due date isn't usually an issue.
I rarely use the entire grace period except for my Plat Amex, and thats only because its the one card I use that gets re-imbursed from my company (and they cut checks once a month).
I have each of my 4 credit cards on seperate dates. The 1st, 8th, 15th and 22nd. I have all my credit cards on autopay and I only get one statement in the mail per week. Mostly I did it to keep myself from getting lazy and not reviewing the credit card statements. All the bills are on credit card due on the 1st and Rent is due on the 15th to help level out the paychecks. The ones due on the oddball weeks are credit cards that I use the least which are used online purchases and other one time purchases.
When you change a payment due date, does it also change the date that the statement cuts?
Most credit cards the statement date move with due date. Discover is one of the exceptions. With Discover, the statement date is not tied with the due date, so it is possible to change the statement date, but not change the due date or vise versa.
