Re: Does Amex Offer Balance Transfer Promotions (Excluding Sign-up)

In 15 years of being an Amex customer, my only balance transfer offer was on my Blue from American Express when I opened it. I have never personally seen a 0% or super low offer for a balance transfer after an initial promotional period, but have received promotional APR reductions on a revolver and on Pay Over Time.

Never personally heard of them.. Maybe @Anonymous can chime in.   Maybe in the past or possibly maybe now even, just never heard of them from anyone here other then 0% intro offers.

Thank you.  I think you're very lucky because like @K-in-Boston I have had Amex cards for a very long time and never received a BT offer outside the initial signup bonus.

So which offer was it? for what card? Did you get an email? saw it when you logged in?

Hi, K!  MyFICO guru! I can only speculate.  But then again, this is the same lender that diminished my credit line after I bought a house in 2000. I'm just happy I am back in AMEX's loving arms, LOL.

With AMEX since 1998, less than 1% utilization ATM.
