Does AMEX give it to college students? Does anyone know if AMEX has any specific limits imposed on the limits of college students? Thank you in advance for any help or suggestions. My current limit is 2k.
I guess it all depends on your income and history and a few other things
I'm a college student but didn't get the 3x CLI on my Amex Gold Delta but I did get a counteroffer to double my limit at the time.
And not too long after, I got approved for the ED and Green card.
Yes. When I got my AMEX (while a college student), it started at $2k. The it went up to $6k (I didn't even ask for it, just went automatically up).
Good to know. What did you roughly report for your income and assests? Did you funnel a lot of money through the card to start off with?
AFAIK they don't exclude college students.
How would Amex even know if you're a student?
I'm a student. I went from 2k (Starting) >6k (3x CLI request) >8k (automatic) >11k (invited to apply) in just over a year. But, I also have full-time income.
I don't see why not. Sure, your income might be low, but I went from $7,500 to $14,400 with an income of $36,000 - not a student at the time, but clearly income doesn't weigh that much in the calcuations.
