Does BT get double reported between CR updates?

If you balance transfer between two cards, between their reporting dates, does that balance get reported for BOTH cards on your CR?

Ex:

 Card A balance = $2000 , reported to CBs 8/1

Card B balance = 0, reported 7/24

 transfer $2k from A to B on 8/5

 will A report $0 balance before B cuts 8/24? Or will A and B both report $2000 until A cuts 9/1?

In the scenario you laid out you would have the balance showing on both cards from 8/24 to 9/1 assuming card A is not a chase card

Re: Does BT get double reported between CR updates?

Utilization has no memory.

Yes, a BT will most likely report on each card, until the first card being reduced posts another statement. In the long run it doesn't matter, unless you are going from a low utilization large balance and moving that large balance to create very high utilization on the BT destination card. In that case the individual card utlization increase will be a longer term score reduction, until that high utilization is brought down.

The real exception is if you make a new charge on a card, and BT the amount away prior to any statement cutting with that large balance amount.
