Does CHASE have the memory of an elephant like AMEX?

I paid off a judgement with CHASE about 5 years ago. Does anyone know if they will allow me back in their good graces if I applied for a new card?

If your scores are FICOs, you seem to be a good boy/girl recently. Of course, their computer memory is there for ever, but everybody makes mistakes. It looks like you have proven that you will be a valuable customer in the future.

I learned my lesson. I hope they're as forgiving as Discover.

BTW - My scores are FICOs.

No, I had a charge off about 7 years ago, and they allowed me another CC with a 3K CL.  They even asked me why I allowed the 2K to be charged off, so yes they will remember but they are willing to give second chances.

Did you pay off Discover?  I had a charge off with them over seven years ago and have been scared to apply.  I heard they are strict on getting approvals.

Discover is forgiving?  Gosh I hope so.

But your scores seem to high for me to ever reach.  Ugh.

Chase is cool.
I had a chargeoff like 7 years ago but after it dropped they gave me a card for $5000 and $14000 on a business card.

Discover closed my account. I was allowed to make payments to avoid a charge-off. I had to apply for a new card.

Yes - I paid it off 6 months before I was approved for a More card.

My scores haven't always been this high.  It's taken a lot of GW letters, disputes and old negs to fall off in the last two years.

You can reach my scores. I was at 635 in '06. With patience, persistance and being responsible with your current cards, you will reach your goals. Good luck!

That"s encouraging although this account won't fall off my reports for a few more years.
