I called today the supposed Capital One EO phone number listed by creditaddict and a nice (but a totally over his head kid talking to me since he said almost all the questions I asked him he had never been asked before). I stated to him that on all Cap1 products Cap1 pulls all three credit bureaus on the application and the person gets hit with three hard inquiries.
I asked him when a person requests a CLI request online or through the automated phone system does Cap1 pull all THREE credit bureaus on the soft pull or only look up their credit records using one specific credit bureau? He had no clue and his supervisor wouldn't give or didn't know anything about this either.
My question to the group is does Cap1 soft pull all THREE credit bureaus on every CLI request like when you initially apply with them or does Cap1 only soft pull your info from one credit bureau? If so, is it region specific with the credit bureau they pull on you or always the same CB on CLI requests?
I also got conflicting information from him that I got from another Cap1 rep. I was told a few months ago the maximum number of Cap1 credit cards that one person could have is five credit cards by a Cap1 rep. He asked his supervisor and "they" said they've seen people with EIGHT Cap1 cards and there is no limit on the number of Cap1 cards a person can have.
I've seen people on here with five different Cap1 cards, but does anyone have or had more than six Cap1 cards as personal cards only, not business and personal Cap1 cards combined?
Thanks
i "think" cap1 uses internal scoring to determine CLIs as a SP and the 5 max is for the QS, venture and venture one cards. i THINK you can have five of those and up to three subprime cards.
Really Equifax 04 is who they pull on CLI requests? Are you sure it's always two-month-old credit scores on using the luv button or the automated system? Isn't there away to to talk to a UW or EO office person so they pull your most recent credit score?

Yes. And it always has been a two month old score for me. Maybe other members can chime in, but IME, they use old pulls. I tried asking them once via chat about using more updated pulls, but I don't think the CSR understood my request at all. AFAIK, no, there's no way to force them to use a more updated SP.
