I'm looking for a travel card that provides free rental car CDW. After doing research and considering my spending needs, I'll pick one from Chase United Explorer and US Bank Altitude Reserve. I'm currently on 7/24 so the only way to bypass that is in branch pre-approval. My question is: Does in branch pre-approval work for co-branded cards? If not, I think I'll have to pick the Altitude Reserve. I'll be on 0/6 next Wednesday and will apply for it by then. Thanks.

I dont think co-branded cards show pre approvals, only core personal and business.
According to a recent post in the approvals section, United is the only partner that shows pre-approved offers.
OP mentioned that he got the Club card, and previously the Explorer card after being pre-approved in branch.
Thanks everyone. If I get pre-approval in branch but apply online (due to better SUP for example), it'll NOT by pass 5/24. Have to process in branch, right?
I would go the in branch route. Its much more likely to be approved of over 5/24. United cards almost always showed up for me in branch. I never saw one online with the green check mark, but YMMV.
