Does Monthy Matinence Fee count as usage?

Hi,

Per this great site, I have found some great ways to manage my credit. Scores have gone up a ton.

Of course, keeping a CC balance of less than 9% has been a huge key.

This brings me to the question. If all four cards have a monthy matinence fee of 4-6 dollars,  and I just pay that every month, does that count as useage? Or do I actually need to make a purchase for a few bucks on each?

Yeah, I always wondered that myself. Does the fee that I pay to Wamu every month for credit protection count as usage. It should since my CL is decreased every month when the fee is assessed.

Welllll, simple logic tells me that ANY charge that appears on your cc, accounts for usage.

But since when does logic come into play in this insanity?

The simple answer to your question is, Yes it does count as usage.
